So, here is my first block. I have all my Sue's done, I just need to add the embellishments to the rest. Hope the size is okay. I like my gals to fill up the block instead of swim inside a sea of cream. (The background is a really light COC.) This is also my first attempt at embroidery, so just don't look at the back!

See how she takes up a lot of space?

I had the month of May, so I thought of her holding a recently picked bouquet of flowers.

She is beautiful! I love her skirt! I can hope that my October girlie can play along with your May girlie! :)

Ladies, I need to pose a question to you. In all other swaps I have participated in, we get one of our blocks back and 11 others. I had set this up as a true swap, NOT getting one block back. I would like to know from you if you want one of yours back. I will make the notations and make sure you do if you want.

I'm making October, here is my block. I've got 6 more to sew and hope to get them in the mail on Saturday!

Wouldn't we end up with two for one month if we make an extra to keep at home?

Yep, but everyone still has to send in 12, to keep the 5 sets complete. If you want one of yours back, I will send it back to you with 11 other months. Or if you want to keep one of yours, just sent in 11....but please make a note to me, as sometimes I get my fingers ahead of my numbers.
