Since we have until July to do the blocks I would like to take a month!! I have only done one appliqued sweatshirt coat. It turned out pretty good so I'm all for this .. I love Sun Bonnet Sue!!! Just let me know which month you want me to do!!!

I had never ever done applique and was scared to death of it. This year Sheila (Panther Creek) and I made a deal that we were going to learn to do this. I seen this swap and thought wow could be better so I jumped in and begged her to also. So here we are and I am having so much fun with SBS. Had to stop making them today since I got my Downy baby quilt in and want to get that done.

Question on the background fabric, do you want to see more of the background fabric or could I make a scenery around her? Keeping in mind staying away from the sides at least 1/2 inch???

Take a look at the months on page 2. Some already have 3 quilters, how about if you choose a month that has only 2 participants?

I don't care how much applique you want to put on, just as long as the block background is a very light color, preferably cream, beige or a very light print....no yellow or peach please.

    Deb:
Is the SBS exchange still open? If so, I'd like to do April. I'm fairly new here, so can you direct me to the rules for this swap?

Hi Karen, Welcome! Just look at the first page of this and everything is there. The blocks are 12.5 unfinished, fabric should be washed before sewing. Light background, and Sue reflects your month. April is yours............may have umbrella/raindrops, or any spring time theme, your thought for your theme.
