OOOO NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I just got back to town late last night, opened my lovely ornament, and the first thing I did was look for my camera to take a pix. But I left my camera at my daughter's house! Will post a pix as soon as it arrives, better late than never, right?

Seeing these brought to mind an unrelated but funny story. I see that Ugly Christmas Sweaters are all the rage now. Here locally we even have an unofficial Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl along one of our historic business districts. Years ago, probably in the mid 90s, I was in Penney's and saw this wonderful (at least to me) Christmas sweater covered with seasonal images; I'd never seen one before as they weren't common then. I got it and wore it for years. When I moved a few years ago, I decided I just had to get rid of some things and that sweater was one of things to go. So of course, at Thanksgiving one of the SILs suggested that we all wear our UCS to Christmas. I'm not sure whether to file that under 'ahead of my time' or 'a day late and a dollar short' -- but I am not buying another one to wear one time for a laugh this Christmas!

Those lil sweaters are wonderful! I can knit, but it's not pretty...lol. My crochet is much better.

I had several of those "lovely" Christmas sweaters, and also sweatshirts...anyone remember the ones where we made them ourselves? I had some that I cut open down the front, added fabric trim on the cut edges, around the neck, and around the cuff of the sleeves. I also put buttons and buttonholes down the front.
Others I put the iron on transfers, and added fabric paint. I did some for Halloween, too.

    And I made seasonal vests.
I'm laughing now recalling how I wore them all, and boy I was "stylin"...

I must admit I still have 2 or 3 of the VIP fabric panels (uncut) that are to make your own vest. Christmas, Autumn, and sewing themes.
I've actually thought of sewing up one and wearing it...I did really like a couple of them. But then I thought again...lol.
Maybe selling them is a better idea, but I've not seen anyone wearing anything like them in years..

Hello there, looks like we still have people opening and posting pics of their orns. Loving everything that has come. Hope to be able to get to making that album of the pics sometime next week.

Seems that Mrs. Mother Nature is still in a tizzy for some reason. She is really throwing our meteorologist around for a loop or they just suck. Not sure which. Sure hope things straighten up soon. Of course I did see a forcast this morning of yet more snow coming. Thinking of renting of room somewhere warm and cozy where I wont see anything white other than fabric for a while. LOL Oh well, if you are gonna live the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains in the Northeast of the states I guess you have to expect snow. Too bad I dont know how to ski.

Ill check in with everyone later. Off to get some cleaning up done and plan dinner for this evening. Another busy evening here with ball schedules and such.

Where are all the pictures? Why aren't people posting pictures of the ornaments they received?

Dorothy (dfelker) did not post pics of the ornaments I made for her, so I will.

This was my first ornament swap and I really enjoyed it! I have gotten lots of ideas and have been so impressed with the generosity of all of the quilter's on this board. My orny's are pretty simplistic.....but I tried hard! lol

Thank you for my ornament. I opened it today. I cannot post a photo as I have no camera. It is from D. F from Omaha , Nb. I do not know your name here on this board. Love the photo frame and gingerbread buttons as well as the felt ornament, sticky notes and tea.

Thanksgiving was my husbands last meal then he took a turn for the worst and died n Dec 2nd.Memorial will be this Sat. Thanks for all the prayers.
