Me, too, OKSewnsew! My husband won't let me keep any Santas out all year long, although I have suggested it a time or two. But I do have a few little ones around the house, especially my sewing room, & he hasn't noticed them (probably because we always manage to forget to put away one or two items after Christmas). I have one tiny one hanging from one of the knobs on my display cabinet -- its been there for years; started out as one of those that didn't get put away & I just left it there! One in the upstairs hallway, too. But over the past 30 years of marriage he's managed to catch the Santa bug, too, & has added to our collection.

glimpse of the second ornament. I was finishing up putting in the metallic thread stars when thread got hung up on the embroidery hoop and i didnt know it. i pulled on it thinking the thread had twisted on itself. My pulling made the metallic thread rip the background material. so whether i liked it or not, i got to start over. i went with the pale blue 18-count Aida. the ornament will be smaller but definitely better looking. i got a good start on it even with having a dental appt mid day

Roseirish48 I like the peace ornament. Very pretty. I also love santas, but don't have a big collection. I seen some of the Soldier Boys for Christmas today, and they were so cute.

I also know about being lost in Pinterest too. I was there for hours earlier, and had to finally just close out. I will probably be back there though. I seen many nice things to think about.

Godmother - Cinderella (not christmasy, but can't think of another lol...)

I have decided to go a different route with my ornaments. As soon as I catch up with all of the boards I read, I'm going to start on them.

Oh....Roseirish....that cross stitch is SO pretty....and your story about what happened with that first one just hurts to think of.

I have a Santa collection too...nothing compared to what some of you describe - but my favorites are the ones my Aunt has been making for me for the past 15 years. She is 78 now - but you would NEVER know it - and makes me a different ceramic Santa every year. The ceramic place she went to for years closed a few years back - and she made them pour and fire a couple dozen Santas for her - which she keeps in her attic - then chooses one every year to paint for me. I always really look forward to opening that box on Christmas day.

    Great orny, Roseirish!

Love reading all of your Christmas stories, too.

My problem is I keep making ornys, and I'm up to way more than we're to send.

Here's pics of a few others I've finished. Sorry about the picture quality of the lil one holding the candy, it's hard to show it from a side view to get the gist of what it looks like:
