Just dropped in to say Hello, I am spending the day trying to finish up my SS package. Tuesday is the deadline and want to finish today and not be stressed. Will be checking in every once in a while so if you have something to sew jump in and we can have a quilt along today. All the kids are out running around with DH getting things together for the start of hunting season and I imagine that includes more talking to all the other members of the family that are coming in for the season. Secretly hoping they stay out for a while so I can get this package done without interruption and then enjoy more visiting myself.

Finally finished my "Place mat of the month club" gifts for my folks and aunts for month of December....so can get them in the mail Monday!!!! {{whew!!}} It turned our to be a good idea - as they have all mentioned looking forward to getting the next month. Can now get back to sewing on the infinity scarves - or maybe i should sandwich the quilt for my niece - or work on the Kleenex box covers .....anyway....getting back to it. Here's a photo...hope they make you smile.

Jaba the mobile sounds like a great idea. I may try that too. With certain ones that would be appropriate I could see putting one in one of my bathrooms.

PenniF those place mats are gorgeous. What size are they?

Patches, love those reindeer mats. Got all but two of the SS items done. The others are at least half done and finishing those tomorrow. Really enjoying making these when I get the chance. Started up today and shorting after all the kids returned home so stopped since I get all nerve racked when I try to sew a gift with everyone running around. Weather here is starting to warm up. Supposed to be in 60's tomorrow so kids will be out running around and can finish up the other two then. Working on some hand sewing this evening.

Thanks everyone....They are Christmas presents for my Aunts and Mom & Dad - all in their 70s and 80s....i started in October with an "official" notice and a place mat telling them they had been enrolled in the "Place mat of the Month Club". It was a reminder for each month that i was thinking of them....and since there's not much that they "need" it seemed like a good idea.
The patterns are my own - but if you'd like to have them, i can send them as an attachment if you want to PM me your email address.
Thanks for all your kind words.
