The cinnamon Christmas trees were something my Granddaughter found on Pintrest when I was looking for ideas for sew extreme's gifts. Abby and I made them together and she was so excited to be helping make a gift for someone we didn't know and lived so far away. Hopefully this will turn into a new tradition for us

The dress is perfect, just enough to draw the eyes to her face. I love the way it came out and understand turning a simple dress into one with construction issues. I am not one to use "suggested fabrics", one dress started to fray so much I had to encase the seams in bias tape
, but was in love with the fabric. Now if I can only loose enough weight to get back into it.

Terriamn, thank you for sharing your story about the Christmas trees you and your DGD made and sent to me. That makes them extra special for me. Too bad we don't live closer you and I could do crafts together with our DGDs. Tell your DGD "thank you" for me.

RedGarnet that dress is beautiful. My mother use to make them simple like that, and then add little details as you did. I lived in Chicago then, and my teachers would ask where I got such lovely dresses.
