Wow. People are sending out now? I'm re-doing my ornament, to make it more suitable for my person. Will probably send a couple anyway.

I also love The Bells of St. Mary's -- haven't seen that one in years!

One of my favorites is less about Christmas & more about romance. I you like chick flicks, watch The Holiday. I love it!

Thank you for the encouraging comments...............but perhaps I will gain skills for the swap next year. I have enjoyed the pictures, the ME, hexies, and felt items just to name a few. I'll be watching..............calla

Pamela, I LOVE The Bells of St Mary's!!! If I remember correctly, Fred McMurray had the leading role in that movie. Of course my favorite part was when the statues moved in the church.

Speaking of older movies, I never tire of watching Auntie Mame, that movie is a hoot!

ctyankee Are you talking about the one with Cameron Diaz? (not sure of the spelling) That movie is so fun. I love the sister and how she makes friends with the retired movie writer.

One movie I LOVE is, "Pride and Prejudice" . The characters, customs, clothing and old homes are so interesting. There are scenes that are just breathtaking in the movie.

i love "The Christmas Story". The first time i saw it my youngest son was about the same age as the boy in the movie . the actor Peter Billingsley( i believe that is his name) and my son looked like two peas in a pod. It will always be a favorite around here.
been working hard on this ornament--wallhanging type rather than tree--soon will be able to layer and quilt it. It is looking really good that i am tempted to keep it for myself. i would post a sneak peek but havent learned how to get pics from my phone camera to computer file to post any yet. will figure it out though

Yes, RedGarnet, that's my favorite movie -- Miracle on 34th Street!

And, yes, Cameron Diaz is in The Holiday, but she's the American who spends her holiday in England & meets Jude Law (I'm drooling now), whose sister is staying at Cameron's house & meets Jack Black. Cameron Diaz was in another movie where her sister is a lawyer & Cameron plays someone who can't keep a job. She ends up in Florida to prey on her grandmother, Shirley Maclaine, but everything turns out well. It's another favorite movie on mine -- In Her Shoes.

My partner's is done, just can't decide whether to mail now and torture or wait until I get back from Florida on the 15th, don't want her to think she's not getting one. Either way with so many swaps going on....have to remember and mark that box really good so she'll know what it's for

Whoops, my bad...I was thinking of the movie "The Miracle of the Bells" not the Bells of St Mary's.

I have posted off my Christmas Ornament swap today from Australia by registered mail, hoping this will ensure that it gets to my partner in good time.
