When I ran across this picture on line I thought of us and our swap.

What an adorable ornament Red! That would take a bit of time to make for sure...thanks for sharing!

BTW, we had high winds last night and no power til this morning...67mph here in Pullman...crazy, crazy storm...my neighbors little fence blew over and crushed all her outdoor potted plants...we had to adjust our deck tarp (covering pots and outdoor decor for winter) a few times so it wouldn't be blown away...a camping lantern and candles kept us cozy...most of the town was without power...today the sun is shining and white puffy clouds in the sky.

Sorry Jaba for your loss. It's been 20+ years since my dad passed and I miss him still! I went on a little vacation with hubby to Pensacola. It was very relaxing. Now I am swamped back in the real world! Just wanted to let my Santa know I have received my package...all the way from Australia! Wow I have never gotten anything from someone from another country and I can't wait to open it! Thanks Santa!

Wow, you had crazy winds for sure. My DH always says the real estate is changing property lines when we literally see dirt flying 20' above the ground!

Right TPr258! That will be right on time.

We still have twenty some people to mail girls! Get a wiggle on. LOL!

rwquilts... We get very high winds where I live and so I know how terrible that can make you feel. Edgy and unsettled is how it makes me feel. Especially if the power goes out! My sis lives one valley away from me and hers was out for 28 hours the weekend before last during the snow storm. I tried to get her to come over, but, she wanted to stay home with her dog.

We keep oil lanterns and an emergency radio with a built-in lamp for such times. I also bought one of those alarm clocks that goes immediately onto battery back up so it never loses time and has an emergency flashlight for when the power goes out. It projects the time onto the ceiling. Hubby got it from me one Christmas. He thought I had lost my mind! But, now he loves it and says he doesn't know how he ever lived without it. (a work-a-holic)

Thanks Dorothy for the confirmation number!

Here is a very old ornament I made. I just took out of the frame and washed and re-framed. I guess he must be close to 25 years old and had some yellowing before I cleaned it up.
