I am setting a goal to stretch myself a little more in the coming year with my quilting/piecing. I bought a new book today that is a 12 month block of the month that looks like it might stretch me a little. Here is a picture of the book.
Do anyone else have a goal for this coming year with your quilting?

My other goal is to organize and purge my books and patterns. I lost my book on making baskets with the coil style sewing. So I had to buy another one. (I think I loaned it to a person and she hasn't seen me to bring them back.) I plan on making one of these for my brother this year for a present, so I am hoping it isn't too hard to make... LOL!

GracefulAnn, that is a great story about patience!

Red, I have always wanted to make one of those bowls. I hope yours turns out.

Here are a few of the woodworking items DH was selling at the annual Christmas Bazaar. The proceeds were to help build a clean water system for a village in Pajule, Uganda.

Such cute stick angels. Linda your husband does wonderful woodwork. Love the boxes. Can I ask what the two items are that are metal stands with a block hanging from them? I know when you tell me I'm gonna feel so dumb but I just can't figure it out.

Love the story about patience, and THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU for serving your country!!! I am grateful!!!

Red, the angels are super cute!!!

The wooden bowls and items are sooo pretty! What nice work!

So, today instead of making gingerbread houses, I had a wild hare and we dipped, decorated and wrapped 127 pretzel rods! I am tired now and going to make a bit of dinner and not doing anything except watch tv for the rest of the evening.

Red -- the coil baskets are very easy. I've made many, many coiled bowls.

SewExtremeSeams -- your hubby's woodworking is wonderful! Love his reindeer!

Such pretty angel ornaments, pretty coiled bowls, and those wooden bowls etc. are so pretty too.

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner with my son, and daughter in law.
I took her a couple of hostess gifts, and some were some coasters. She loved those coasters, and wanted me to make her some more to give to her boss. That surprised me, but made me happy.

I know what you mean, Susan. My daughters are always asking me to make things for their friends & their friend's new babies. However, I'd be happier if they'd ask me to make coasters instead of quilts! (Hubby finally put a stop to the baby quilts, bless him!)

Your ornament showed as being delivered on the 23rd ann. Something fun to come home to. LOL...

I love the wooden wares your hubby makes, sewextremeseams. How nice! I have bought quite a few from a man at our senior sampler store in reno. Awesome gifts for sure.
