I have my FQ's on comic boards that I got from amazon. Back a couple years ago they were $10 with free shipping. I cut them in 4th's and stacked them 1 layer deep in tall totes by color. Kinda like a card file. Works pretty good. You could do a little every so often before the shelving arrives.

Way ahead of you there LOL.

I have been working on putting my fabric on comic boards for
quite awhile now. In fact I found a website where I got my boards
for $8.00 per 100 with free shipping on $80.00+ order. I bought
    1000 of these boards.

I have my boards cut into 1/4's and in 1/2 (length wise). Put fq's,
f8's and 1/4 yard cuts on the small 1/4 boards. If there is 12"+ by
w.o.f. up to 35" that goes on 1/2 cut boards. One yard up to 3 yards
of fabric goes on a full board.

I would just take a stack of fabric and work on that, then do something else, so it did stretch it out..lol The ones I found at WM are the best for the price, I've not been disappointed at all. Jes a thot..

It looks like my parcel still didn't make it to the recipient yet! It's a month tomorrow that I posted it, and the post office told me it would take 7-15 days! I really hope it shows up within those five last days!

Monale -- sounds like your package is taking a world tour before it reaches its destination! I commiserate with you ... I'm waiting for mine to arrive, too ... I'm hoping today is the day!

I fold my yardage on the comic boards. Very neat and organized.

After I had all my fabric wrapped into mini bolts and shelved on the wire shelving, my friends who were over one day started "shopping" my fabric and I had to shoo them out of the room!! The stash isn't for sale!!!!

Once I get my fabric onto the shelves it will be so much
easier for me to see what I have. I am so excited to get
    my shelving.

As I said before I am weeding out anything that I do not
like. If I look at it and ask myself "what in the heck were
you thinking?" than it will be tossed to the discard pile. ONLY
fabrics I really like will remain in my stash.

Oh did I mention that there are OVER 53 bins (58qt size) not
counting anything larger or smaller than that?

So far have folded about 5-7 bins of fabric onto the comic
boards, until I ran out of boards. Just have not gotten back
to folding since I received my order, PLUS still need to take
about 400-600 in to FedEx/Kinkos to get cut.

I am trying to locate the website where I purchased my boards
from. Did find a website that has them for a GREAT price, but
    they don't offer free shipping.
