After a wonderful day with my daughter, she finished the borders on her quilt and it is ready to go on longarm. She will practice with the one on there now and then do hers. I will let you know how wonderful she did at the quilt show in September. And teaching a class on one fabric quilts, students loved the transformation of their fabric, I came home to a wonderful dinner cooked by my DH and found out that he spent a large amount of money today when I had to be good at the fabric store when fabric was $5 per yard sale, and batiks. I went to the mailbox and found a wonderful surprise from rejena. I got my package today. I have photoed it for you to see. I know this is silly, but he magazine had a perfect pattern it is for my daughter, monkey pattern. It is so adorable. I am really going to have to find time to make this one. I also needed some new hot pads so that is so useful. How did you ever know that the need for recipe cards was there. I keep writing them down on paper and did not have any cards to exchange with the neighbor. I will use them. Had that wonderful rhubarb jam recipe that makes perfect jam. I am so happy with the wonderful goodies. BY the way, candy bars in freezer because they came in mushy. Not sure how well they will come out of package wrap. Thank you so much. I am so very pleased. Fat quarters, needles, seam ripper/mending kit, sticky notes.

I do understand though! It seems to me that we spend a huge amount of time and thought on our packages that we send out so get nervous about their arrival.

However, we don' fret about what we get. As some else on here said, it is like Christmas when our packages arrive. I wonder if AA or GA have branches for Secret Swaps??
I think there is a quilter's annonomus QA. We meet every wednesday evening and do quilting. Some call it a quilter's guild meeting. lol. How's the studing goin Tussy girl? Mary
Hi Mary, I am hard at it now, only stopped for a drink and a browse on here. Just another two days and I will be handing it in (I think). The house is in a mess, dust bunnies and rubbish everywhere, the dog has forgotten who I am and DH thinks that our relationship is now about him putting drinks and the odd bit of food in front of me from time to time. All my friends think I have emigrated. Frightened the heck out of the mail man the other day when he rang the bell. Hair stood on end through running fingers through it, pen marks like tattoos all over my hands - couldn't find anything else to write on and mismatched shoes. Can't think where I put the other blue one or even the other pink one....... Help! I really need help!
Sue take a deep breath and relax for a few minutes. Life is to short. Now about the rest of your post. I have a cute frame eith some pretty embroidery hanging up that says"this house is protected by dust bunnies". It has cotton balls glued to it that are dirty looking.Makes me laugh when I see it. Your dog has a long memory and your DH needs to take care of you right now.Things will even out in the end.Your doing all this for both of you.I'm sure he is proud of you.Even when you have the guts to answer the door looking like that! lol.Your doing great so hang in there. Bless your poor tired little ole heart.Mary

Judy - you were wonderful to me. It came on a great day, found out my husband is in remission with rectal cancer.
God is good! Wonderful news, Kathy M.

I also got 2 fat 8th's, 4 beautiful fat quarters. 2 spools of signature thread: burgundy and dusty mint. A plaque of a robin on it's nest. 2 spools of Lizbeth variegated crochet thread in springtime and turquoise twist. A crochet set with interchangeable heads. I was just looking at new ones last weekend. 2 adorable pincushions. 5 Oregon. postcards for my collection. An almond roca buttercrunch toffee. And she also sent me a dragon figurine. I can't wait to play with it all.

Thank you to my wonderful SP: Robin aka: Chasing Hawk,

    Robyn

I love my little doughnut dude. I named him Fang. He's helping me with putting my blocks together right now. My DH has been trying to talk me out of my dragon. He likes them too. I'm going to put adhesive magnets on the back of the robin to put it on my fridge.

I checked on google maps where your city is in Oregon. I went to Oregon for the first time last year in August to see some friends that live in Salem.
