In response to Airwick & Stash Queen - Laughing, a bet the postage would have been a bit hefty too! :XD:

With the change of rules over international posting I could double the weight of my squishy for the same amount of money. It was great fun to see how much I could stuff into a squishy.

I am so glad that I could fit the scarf/stole in - it took 2 or 3 goes packing and repacking to fit it all in, and in the end I had to remove the packing of the scarf to do it. It was great fun and I always hope that I make my swap pal feel special by making things especially for them. It gets a bit hectic sometimes getting it posted on time.

You may not have time to notice, but the candle comes with its own stand and it is non drip so being flat means it is not a fire hazard, although you have to take all the usual precautions.

Here is a better picture of the magnificent scarf that I received from Tussymussy in England. It is truly an elegant and unique accessory in a shimmery silver/blue color w/ fringe. As you can see it opens up to a hearty shawl size and can also be used as a scarf or a belt with a long summer dress. I have been playing dress up all morning!!! Now to check the pantry and whip up a batch of Caraway Cookies with Caraway Seeds from Tussymussy's garden for an afternoon shack along with a cup of Blackcurrant & Mangosteen Tea. Thanks again Tussymussy for each and every treasure you included in my secret pal package! You really made me feel special! (see previous post/picture to see a description of all the wonderful goodies I received)

No problem with fulfilling that request. Isn't it scary not to be there? We got 40" rain in 24 hours in mid 1980's (pre cell phone), and I was quite frightened when 14" of water flooded our downstairs. Be grateful your family is able to evacuate. We went five days with no power and no way in or out.

By the way, I consider a lot of people on this Board and in my swaps to be friends, and there is nothing wrong with sharing something you need to vent about. You are definitely on prayer chain.

I really appreciate all the kind words and all the prayers that are going up around the world for my family--update--they are evacuating more people today that only have a 4 hr notice to be out--instead of 10 extra ft of water they are now expecting closer to 14-15 ft of water--this will wipe out very large areas of this city--the cities nickname is the Magic City--lets hope the Magic happens and there isn't as much devatation as they are predicting--so far my family has gotten all the things out that they wanted but its the longterm that is so scarry esecially for my one daughter that is a single parent to two great boys 7 and 9 months old--the 7yr old is out here with grandma right now and not sure when he will be going home(I think he should stay here until he's at least 30)love all the great words of encouragment--I feel better--thanks
