You crack me up!! I mean I would be laughing louder, but don't want to wake the neighbors!! And, we live in the country, on acreage, so neighbors aren't really close...lol! You are keeping a great attitude! I have had a full body MRI, and you are right about it all...when the piped in voice would say the next part would be "90 seconds, or 2 minutes, etc." I caught myself singing hymns, row row row your boat, even Happy Birthday trying to distract myself and help time when I could "wriggle" around again..lol...And, when you wondered if the MRI is like being married to you, and went on to describe it, I have to tell you that you describe me to a T...and I am sure my poor dh would agree, thought not out loud...well, maybe not out loud ..haha. Hope you can get some rest this week-end, and that you get wonderful news soon!

Ok, y'all are killing me this morning!!! Went to bed with a BAD migraine yesterday. It his so fast and suddenly, I had just picked lil man up from daycare and walked outside and blacked out, I fell and dropped him...thankfully we are both ok just a few skinned up knees. I've had TONS of MRI's done. The worst was the one where they told me the whole thing would take over 2 hours total. Yep...on portion was like 35 minutes...well, yours truly flinched at around the 33-1/2 minute mark and had to start all over again. So 3-1/2 hours later I was walking out, my dad look panicked because no one informed him of what was going on and what was taking so long. Ahhh...gotta love hospitals and how they run things. Now...when they did my MRI on my knee, let me tell you best experience ever. They put me in one of those open MRI machines, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Best way to go and no where near as loud. I still have nightmares sometimes of the bump, bump, thump thump, bump WHIRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
I'm praying for you burchquilts!!! You are a true enjoyment and blessing to have in this group and I'm SO glad you found us!!!
I guess I had better get back to work...ahhhh...the thing I must do to be able to pay bills and then more fabric.

You would think with all the fun and laughing going on here, that the migraines would melt away
Mine come from allergies in the outdoors and from some foods that I just can't resist eating every now and then. I am careful to stay away from the food triggers most of the time. When on vacation, I just have to indulge once then back to fasting from the triggers.
So now, back to the sewing room. I have three more pillowcases to finish tonight. We have five kids graduating at work and I want to surprise them.

Oh my quilty friends...how you do make me laugh!! Not about the migraines, tho...I have had too many kidney stones to count, given birth with no pain meds, and I can say some of my migraines had all of the above beat as far as pain! I used to get them so bad, twice a month like clockwork...Who knew that having a solid ovarian mass which led to a total hysterectomy at the age of 40 would have the added benefit of no more migraines??!!...Well, I may have had one or two in the 7 years since the surgery...but nothing like before! So, a lil ole vivelle-dot estrogen patch for me, and I am just fine thanks!! Beats the heck out of having to give myself the Imitrex shot every time a migraine was coming on...sometimes it helped, sometimes not so much...Yosamitesa, I am so glad you and your little one are ok! I must say I never had a migraine where I blacked out totally...I am sure that must be scary for you! Hope they can find out what is causing them for you...I also have Lupus, not diagnosed until 2 years ago...but have found out that it could have been the cause of mine...tho I think mine were more hormonal...Burchquilts, the dd calling them "my brains" was too funny...and the remark about being blissfully brain free...hmmm...maybe that is why after my MRI my Dr. said the results were "negative".??.. LOL...Anyways, sending out healing hugs to you all!

Mine, too... if it kills me! I'd planned to iron & cut today but my knee said "NO" so instead I watched all the episodes of "The Killing" that I had Tivo'ed. What can I say? I like INTENSE TV (& cannot wait till "Breaking Bad" is back on). Tho for Mother's Day, if I could have ANYTHING in the world, I'd want to watch "Jane Eyre" (the PBS version) with DD. Oh well... I'll cut fabric instead.
