thanks guys, thats so good to know.

i have a tendency to buy rulers and never use them so this is good news.

i'm also putting together a list of useful items for the Dear Jane Cyber Block Party so i'll put this on the list.

do you guys like that name?

it combines both of the most popular titles together.

i think it has a nice ring to it.

Talk about not proof-reading, what can I say It was early.

I love the name...let's go with it!! Any objections? hearing none, the motion is passed. (little city council humor...)

I want you to know that I have now completed 12 almost perfect B3 blocks. Thanks to Bearisgray, my new B3 designer/mentor, I figured it out without having to appique. S;o, 6 more to go, then I can get to the K2 blocks...then I can get to the fall block swap, oh, and then finish my chicken blocks...oh, and make my other doll quilt for K3N. Looks like I have a busy, busy Labor Day Weekend ahead of me.

I'm off to class today, and I'm excited. It's going to be a quilt with qppliqued dresses on the top. So cute, and I can't wait.

Hi All I've been on vacation but wanted to stop in and check up (be back Monday).

Wow you all did some great blocks!!
Klue I like how you morphed the two names into one, and I agree the rulers are great.

And last but not least a retreat at the end of the sew along sounds great. Now I've got a lot more catching up to do.

Okay, back in the saddle..at the computer. I had a class today, and it is making a quilt with 9 blocks that have 50's looking dresses appliqued on to each block. Each dress is on a dress stand, and the bottom and the neck/shoulder area pop out. I have a ways to go before I can post photos. I'm hoping I get some time this weekend to dive into all my swap committments. I'm getting nervous...

The best part about the day was letting go of everything else and just playing with this quilt. Really fun.

Actually, I misspoke about the dress quilt. When I said the neck/shoulders and the stand pop out, I meant they are behind the dress so they sort of pop up behind the dresses. They don't puff out. However, I am debating putting batting behind the skirt of each dress because they are very puffy sort of skirts and I think it would look really cute to do that. We'll see - not there yet.

I will work on a tute for B9 now, I think it makes sense to get it done!!! Thanks for the suggestion KLue.
