i think i'll be breaking my blocks apart and making a table runner and a quilt.

odds are i'll use the triangles in my table runner and fill in with other plain and i'll make pieced triangles if need be.

its just not enought triangles, yet, to use in a throw.

maybe it would be enough triangles for a wall hanging if you do 2 sets

Klue you must be soooo amazed at the turn out for this swap it is the biggest I have ever seen

i really am amazed by the turn out. most quilters know and love jane but stay away because its a real challenge - even the most experienced quilters struggle with the size and pieces in a jane block.

i'm so happy that so many people want to be a part of the swap and i'm so honored and thrilled that so many of them wish to do the cyber block party too.

its something i look forward to on a daily basis - i feel so lucky to have all of you ladies to share this experience with - it would break my heart if i couldn't be a part of the cyber block party.
I agree some of those little blocks are tough that is for sure but they are sooo fun trying to figure them out.

As for not enough triangles who knows maybe that will explode too wouldn't that be fun?

I am sure Klue will give you a better explanation after but she is hosting a Dear Jane sew along. No swapping we are all going to do our own Janes and help each other along the way. Klue will have us do so many blocks at a time and use tutes and things to help those of us having a little difficulty. The idea is so we can all finish our Jane quilts while we have each ohter for support and encouragement. Hope that helps.

    couldn't have said it better.

i've started to put together the block list.

i'm trying to make a bell curve design start off easy for a week or 2, then work on harder blocks in the winter, then easier blocks for summer, and then harder blocks thru october, then easy for the holidays, and then the final stretch after the new year. we should be able to start the quilt sandwich by march.

we start in jan 2010 and it will last about 14 months.

we'll do 5 weeks on then the 6th week is off, so people can catch up or redo some blocks they don't like, or focus on another project.

i'm trying to have 3-5 blocks a week and 1 triangle.
