Klue I have a question. K3 has a small border around it to make it fit I suppose. Do I need to use the small border or can I make the pieced part the 5" as opposed to making the center 4 3/4" and adding the border strips?

you should double check the white in your fabric i'm thinking its actually 1 shade above bright white like an eggshell.
i thought the fabric i purchased for the Jan Jane was red & white and when i got it home and compared it to my kona white fabric i discovered its just 1 small shade darker than bright white.

there will be a weekly thread that details the blocks/triangle/corners we should work on that week along with tips and guildelines on how to make them.
we will also post pics of our completed blocks.
everyone will use whatever fabric they wish and they keep all their work.
its really just a way to stay motivated and supported thru the process of making a jane - the journey to a completely finished jane is long and its nice to share the road with friends.

this is a "fun" jane swap not a "purest" jane swap.
if people want to make a "purest" jane they should join the "sew along" in jan when we'll be making the entire jane quilt.
