if you want to make an entire DJ quilt the group to join will be in Jan 2010.

thats when we'll be starting the DJ Cyber Block Party. we'll be spending about 12-14 months making our individual DJ quilt (no swaping of blocks).

if you want to swap blocks this would be the group to join.

yes, if you want to make an entire quilt - the software or the book is a must.

i prefer the software because you can design your quilt and print out the patterns. the book doesn't have any patterns in it, just line drawings that you wouldn't have to redraft.

since the quilt is around 220+ blocks and the software is rather cheap at joann it was an easy decision for me to just buy the software.

Yes K, you will definitely want the software. Joann's does a lot of free shipping, and they are the best price for it. I still need to learn to use it, but I can see it will be invaluable.

I hope you join the Cyber Sew Block Party in January - I think it'll be a blast!

Is this called ADDICTION when you go to bed thinking about the blocks and trianlges and when you wake up before you even start getting ready for work you have to go see why something isn't working from the night before or look at something that did work. I find myself thinking about this most of the day. What I thought was a fairly easy triangle has turned out to be nothing but. There is one section with very tiny ends that have to be just right to match the next section. In my first one they don't match but I didn't see it until I started the second one. What joy! WHAT A WONDERFUL ADDICTION. Thank you Klu for all the time you are putting into this project and all the time you will be putting into this project.

OMG!!!!! I have an addiction!!!!!!! I draw out quilt ideas at break at work, as soon as I get home I have to check my e-mail for messages from the board, when doing anything around the house I have to keep checking in to see if something happened  and I haven't even thought of doing any triangles!! I will be a real junkie by then! LOL
