Blue... no reason to feel like you said. My DH who is a Air Force Vet, still will write/say his dates that way and I still can't get used to it.

I think it makes the least sense to put the day of the date in the middle like the United States custom (July 4, 2009)

I think it would make the most sense to put the year first, the month next, and then the day.

    2009 November 5

or the way most of the world does it - 5th day of 11th month of the year 2009 (of whatever dating system we are using) Do most of the populations on earth use the same system the US is using?

Good luck with the knee surgery, Klue.

Sorry to get ya'll back on track...but I learned something last night and thought I'd share.

Even the most thick headed among us finally learns something even if it was by accident. You know when you are PP'ing...I was just sewing along...got all the units done, then started to join the larger sections together. I didn't realize that if you do that with the titles on the pieces upside down....your block won't match....here I'll show you

I think this is the one with the middle section upside down

See how "off" the match is on the triangles?

I fixed it...so this is right

Well...I just felt like a total idiot....not matching and couldn't figure out why..it was just the one block that didn't match...then noticed that I had the sections upside down. I just didn't know that it made a difference...obviously...it does.

Thank you so much for showing us that!! It really does make a difference - although not much - I had to stare at it to see the points that weren't matching! I can definitely see on larger blocks were it would show so much more though.

I also wanted to pass on a tip I have learned. It really makes a huge difference using Bottom Line thread in my bobbin. I'm still learning to paper piece so I have had to pull out more seams than I care to admit. the bottom line thread is sooooo much easier to get out, plus, it really stays sitting nicely when you rip out the paper.

Your blocks are fantastic by the way - love the fabric prints!

I have to ditto this! Bottom line is the best thread I've ever used for the bobbin. I just ordered some from a place called

www.sewthankful.com/TheBottomLine.html It is on sale for $10.13 3,000 yds. That's cheaper than RedRockThreads which has usually had the best price for bottomline. For 3 spools the shipping was 5.99. If anyone finds it cheaper somewhere else please let me know. I'm going to need more black on an emboridery project.

    Klue

Can you give us a list of who you have received blocks from. I been watching the thread but didn't see that you received my two sets of blocks.
