I'm glad you got them. It's a good thing I wasn't mailing them somewhere in OK they would be WET. This has nothing to do with the blocks but everytime it rains for very long I can't help but hear my DH tell me what he would say when he was little. Rain, rain go away, little Jimmy wants to go out and play. The little things that trigger our minds. Also my strip it fabric will be mailed this weekend, all 15 yds of it. Cathy at Whittle's is really nice to do business with and her prices are very competitive.

On another note I wish you the best with your surgery and hope it takes away all the pain or least most of it.

whittles is wonderful and the prices are awesome. you can always ask them to send you samples and to match fabric for you, she's more than happy to do that.

i shop from them at least once a month.

I got the red in Gallery in Red. I would like to find the black. It shows there is a black on the marcusbrothers site but I haven't found it, at least at a price I can live with. I would have never known about the strip-it if it weren't for Klue. Working with such small pieces this fabric is ideal. Instead of buying a lot of different fabrics I just have to pick which strip color I need. Sure am glad I started when I did getting supplies ready for the party. If I waited till Dec I would never get it done. I know I have over purchased but one of my biggest fears in running out of fabric before the project is finished. I did this on a wall hanging(a paper piece by Judy Niemeyer) and they didn't have anymore of the fabric except in a kit they had made after I had purchased my fabric. There were 16 different batiks. Tthe only way I could continue was to buy the kit. I'm in the process of binding this wall hanging. You've heard the commercial "priceless", that's what this wall hanging is, not because I'm attached to it but financially.

I agree okie...I need to get started getting my fabrics together...now I have to scroll back to find that link that esq (I think) provided because I'll need to get LOTS of the background fabric. I'd rather not have to mortgage the house to get it   ..so her link sounded great!

    okie,
Where did you purchase this fabric? I also posted a question to Klue. I could not find it anywhere. I want to use pinks for the DJ sewing along in January. I love bright, deep pinks and hoping that I can find the strip-it fabric in pink.

I got mine from Whittles but I haven't seen any pink strip-it fabrics. I was so busy looking for red I didn't notice other colors, except the black and that's because is was from the same designer. I was looking for a particular designer, manufacturer so there may be other colors.
To give credit where credit due KLUE IS THE MAN/WOMAN/GIRL/BOY" She put me on the path of strip-it fabric.
