If your blocks don't get us in the holdiay spirit nothing will. I just love them. I think just that block and fabric would make a beautiful table covering or unique gift for Christmas.

Love the blocks - - so pretty with the poinsettia's mixed in!! I've been so distracted with other project that I'm feeling a little disconected from my DJ friends. I think knowing that I'm leaving all my time (except for the IRR and occasional doll quilt) next year for the DJ is letting me feel like I can focus on some other activities for a while...Everyone's progress is fantastic, and really fun to watch. I think it'll be even more fun to open my squishie from Klue next month!!! :) :) :!:

I'm still around, even though I haven't posted often. First I didn't sew because of DH accident. (Cut leg with chain saw, doc thinks he will start
passive exercise this Fri.) Now I have taken a quilting break to make a dinosaur costume for my Great-granddaughter for Halloween. But I have everything under control - lol - and blocks will be finished and there on time.

    esq

its a great idea to do other projects now that way you won't feel bad when you have to spend so much time next year devoted to the jane quilt.

I sent my blocks away on Monday, by super pigeon, so they should arrive by the end of the week.

I did a boo-boo... AGAIN! I forgot to include an envelope to return them in, sorry! :-( I did it to Colletta in the first block swap too.

Can you please PM me, klue, or email, with how much return postage is and include the cost of an envelope. Thank you! :-) (I assume paypal is ok, have we discussed how the internationals are paying return postage? I'm not the only mad sucker outside the States am I?!?)

    no problem at all blue.

its easiest with outside USA people for me just to pay the postage and then i'll let you know what it is.

I'm getting even more excited day by day...I mailed mine off to you Klue today...so you should have them by the end of the week I would think. I didn't put the blue ones in...I got sidetracked on a couple of other swaps...and will get to the blue ones as they are next on my list.

I'm kinda like esq...I have some things I'd really like to clean up before I devote all my time next year to the DJ..and the IRR. But really....do you think doing it a few blocks a week will take up a TON of time?...I guess we'll see won't we?

i'm trying to keep the time devoted to jane blocks at around 4-5 hours a week.

then you could either do an hour of sewing each night during the week or a couple hours on sat & sun.

i've found that when i first started making the jane blocks it took forever just to finish one but now that i've been at it for a couple of months i can make a jane block in about an hour.
