I have noticed with swaps and such if I ask for delivery confirmation, nothing ever gets lost.. don't spend the .60 and guess what.. either gets lost or takes FOREVER to get there.. go figure

If you print your shipping labels at usps.com, delivery confirmation is free. All you have to do is click the little dot when you select your method of shipping.

It does seem that way - -

However, for swappers that are going international - - - I don't think there is a relatively low cost way to track a mailing.

If I ship something to Canada, for example, does the USPS lose control of the item after it's in Canada?

When I ship international...I always check that I want the "track and confirm"...its on the address pages when you are doing your label on line. I get the information...although it isn't "delivery confirmation"..I would think that the country you are shipping to gains control over the package when it passes through customs.

no and i've gotten todays mail.

the upside is my niece is here and i was able to teach her about jane, the various blocks, and how color placement changes the look of a block.

she's as good as i am with the dear jane software and she's only 5.

she's here finishing up her doll quilt for the children's swap and it looks great.

the only thing i've done on it so far was cut the fabric for her and work the sewing machine pedal because she can't reach it yet.

Hopefully they will come on Monday. Have fun with your niece, I've been following the children's swap and it seems like so much fun.

These swaps are so great. My twins(5) weren't signed up for the kids swap but I had to let them make a doll quilt as Rachel was here at the same time making hers and I couldn't leave them out. I couldn't believe how excited they got! We've finished Devon's last night and Daymon's just needs backed. Rachel still needs to add borders and back hers. We are spending the afternoon finishing these up. I am amazed at how long they stay with it at one time!! We do take play breaks tho!! LOL

I so appreciate the swaps and all you guys do to make them happen! I had never done one before finding the board.

Hope fully the wayward DJs will come to light soon! No problem waiting but just want the lost to be found.
