i hope you can find some time to breathe once the family leaves.

there's still quite a few easy blocks left.

if you need help picking an easy one out let me know.

Ya'll know you are making it very hard for me to resist this swap with all those beautiful blocks! I finished 1 quilt yesterday, and am halfway (maybe more) done with my current IRR round. That leaves a pre-sold baby quilt to do and my IRR center. Maybe by Monday, I'll feel better about having time to join...I sure want to! These are great looking blocks!

Here are the three options - let me know what you think I should do. I can do some DLD and some LDL, but I'm definitely leaning away from the "combo" of one each in a block...

i agree with you, do some L/D/L and then the rest D/L/D but no combo.

i just love that candy cane stripe. does the fabric come diagonal or are you cutting it that way?

i should look to see if i have any stripe fabric that could work for this swap.

The striped fabric came that way - on the diagonal. It does look very candy-liscous It's a really pretty red/cream/green - very rich and not bright...

I'm making sure everything is going the same direction too. My examples aren't perfect...

i don't see where they are off - i even went back and looked again cause you mentioned it and i still don't see it.

i'm really not saying that to be nice, i honestly can't see where its off.

All three are off. I need to twist the bottom 9-patch so the diagonals there go the same direction as the one above.

    LOL

i never noticed until you told me. clearly its not something that jumps out, i think its because people look at each 9 patch as an individual unit

Here's my 2 cents - I don't think we should limit the # of people joining the exchange.

Usually, people join right up to the LAST minute - and some people get so overwhelmed that they have to drop out! Also, some of us might decide to do a 2nd or even 3rd block toward the last minute. You never know!

And if we do more than 1 set, it doesn't matter much if we get a duplicate block - they're so small, that they won't wind up next to each other anyway.
