I'm thinking 54 blocks? Is that right? We're close...if 12 people go for one more...we could be there...

What sorts of things could we make with 54 blocks? Perhaps even a real Christmas DJ quilt?? (absent the borders...)

    Anyone??

i typically don't. i use some starch on my fabric and i'm able to finger press over.

i'll only press in between each piece when i'm doing sharp thin points like in a tiny NY Beauty.

yes, we need to reach 54 blocks to avoid dups in 3 sets.

i'll see what size you can set into with 3 sets - i think you could reach an actual bed size quilt - at least a twin size.

    ok guys.....

i'm putting L7 back into play - in case some one wants an easier block.

L7 is based on a 9 patch layout so everything can be strip pieced except the center block which is a square in square layout.

the square in square can be paper pieced. i have templates made with 9 center sqaures on 1 sheet of paper - so you'll have what you need in just 2 sheets of foundation.

if anyone wants L7 just let me know and i'll send you my file and you can strip piece the rest.
