Ducky...I think you did just great! I certainly can't complain or compare since I STILL haven't done a thing...but I DID order the software..does that count??

A name for the sew along...hmmm...I might think of something in the middle of the night..that seems to be when things like that happen

My first thought was something of the era like the word Emporium but that doesn't fit this situation. I like the idea of using a yesteryear phrase but nothing came to mind. Block Party seemed to sum up the intent of the activity to have everyone have a good time and get together to accomplish this quilt together.
They are just suggestions for a jumping off point. Feel free to bounce ideas off of it or do whatever you think. I know we have alot of creative people so something good should come up for a great title!! LOL

Wouldn't it be cool if we planned a huge retreat for about 6 months after we finish our blocks, where if you come, you have to bring your Dear Jane completed? We could have a real retreat - classes, games, wine, wine, wine, oh, and hey, what about a little wine while we're there??? He he.

that would put the retreat about August 2011 - good timing? Enough time to save your pennies for the fun???

what a great idea. we could do it at the Vermont Quilt Show and see the Original Jane Quilt.

i've been thinking about going up there and doing a rubbing from the headstone and transferring it to fabric and putting it on the back of my jane quilt.

but then i think, wow thats kinda dark.

i live in sleepy hollow and headstone rubbings are done all the time here.
