It's darling fabric, but IMHO it doesn't work with the rules that have been laid out.
The colours aren't true because of differences in computer monitors & so on. It does "read" as dark green with brown gingerbread men "in real life". I can try to post a close up picture that might show the colours better if that would help. However, I'm fairly confident about the colour, just worried about the print.

    Thanks!

I think the gingerbread guys are whimsical and add that Christmas feeling so I would be happy to get them! I also think that the fabric reads green!

Yes I like the gingerbread also and I think it reads a dark green. It is a good one for this swap!

I love the newest blocks ya'll have done.. these quilts are going to be so pretty!!

Jan...As far as the gingerbread, I think it'd go great. These blocks are so tiny that even if there was a little blue in there you wouldn't be able to pick it out. The reds, greens, and creams, etc will make it read just as another Christmas color..

sharon.. I can't wait to see your block.

If I could've I would've used my Lollystick fabric.. it's whimsical and has the cutest snowmen on it, but it had a blue background, something that I just couldn't hide..

I ordered DJ software and I also ordered EQ6 software probably a week and a half ago. Each from different businesses.
Thursday, I received DJ book. (no software)
Friday, I received upgrade for EQ6. What are the chances?
Naturally they are both returning my money, but I have to re-order and wait for my software=delay in play time.

thats just terrible. i hate when things like that happen and you've been waiting and so excited for the package to arrive.

    jan

as long as the fabric is in the colors scheme it will work with the other blocks.

besides every quilt should have a bit of whimsy.

if you look at the original Jane block J12 was put in side ways and, if she meant to or not, i think she did decide to leave it that way.
