speaking of names, I worked with a woman whose name was Linda and her husband's name was Lynn.
very unusual, they should invest in lottery tickets, what's the chances of that.
LOVE the holly berry fabric in the pincushion/needlecase.

Just make something simple and use some nice holiday fabric. It doesn't have to be real fancy.

Jami what a great swap you got from Karen. The flamingo/Christmas fabric is just too cute. I just saw an article that the plastic flamingos were first made in Leominster, Ma. My middle name is Mary. Karen you got a great swap from Jean. I love the fabric and you stuffed the owl really well. I finally mailed my packages today. One is going east of me and the other is going west. I did ship them Priority but it says Mon delivery. What happened to the 2 day shipping. I think they should charge less if it's not in 2 days. I even got all my cards mailed and 4 other packages. But I still have more Christmas stuff to make.

The best advice I can give you is to stuff the pincushion firmly. do something easy. it can be a square, make it a pretty print, and keep on stuffing. see how it hold a pin, if not good, give it some more. that's the trick to the pincushion. don't go fancy, just get a nice print. that will do it for you. good luck.

Thank you nhnative. I put a tiny bit of fiberfil in the top, then crushed walnut shells, then stuff til the item can't hold anymore..lol The shells give it a 'base' for the pins to go into.

Dorothy, You can make a pretty quilt block (mini) then use it for the top and a pretty print on back. stuff it well and then you can add embelishment or not. Use some buttons or a cute charm or a tassel etc. It's not what you make it's that it is made by YOU. Needlebooks are just a fabric book. Not a big deal. Check out etsy or pinterest. You can make them as fancy as you want or any shape. Enjoy your first swap and we're glad to have you joining us.

Dwina, what an adorable picture! My 2 don't bother with the tree. They may lay under it on the tree skirt but don't get in the tree. Coco, who we call "her chubbieness" is too fat to try. Callie, just couldn't care less.

Dwina that would make a great Christmas card. Too cute. My Ms Kitty doesn't bother with mine either. Especially this year as I only put the lights and the garland and no other ornaments yet.
