hello im jaunty melissa and i just wanted to introduce myself. im krystyna's future dil. i like crafty projects, anything crafty!!! i started off hand sewing pillows in fun fabrics and finish it yourself ceramics and bird houses where i got to have fun and paint. thanks to future mil i now know how to make more fun items and work a sewing machine, an embroidering machine and a surger. the surger def cuts my 4 day hand sew one yard long pillow into just minutes!!! finally

Happy Holidays everyone!!! The Christmas Day is winding down, bellys are full, dishes washed....Grandmom and Great Aunt are loved the lap quilts I made for them. As of last night the quilts were partially bound, my hands were tired and with all I had to do today had no idea how they were going to get done before they arrived for dinner this evening. The lightbulb came on this morning and I feverishly machine bound them and they were done in time...just barely before they knocked...how's that for sliding into the finish line!! It's been a crazy busy couple of months with several losses within family, friend's familes, and anniversary of losses and while my heart has been heavy....it's this thread that I come to almost daily (even if only for a couple of minutes) to get a lift. So although I havn't been posting much at all, I come for the smiles, beautiful grandbaby/children faces, engagements, support of those in need, prayers for healing, thoughtful SPs and all the joy that is the SP thread!! Doing the SP swap is joy every month since I started participating....and I just wanted to share how grateful I am for all who who keep the banter and love going!!

Melissa and my son got a boat load of presents that seem to have landed in the middle of my living room - including a 37" flat screen TV from her parents. So as soon as the house gets a little tidied up, I will start RAKing!

Merry Christmas everyone, sorry mine is a little late. was an awesome and very tiring day!!!!! we got so many wonderful new gifts for the holiday and my second favorite gift is my new sewing machine that my soon to be mil got me (my first is that love of my life asking me to marry him)!!!!!! its extremely exciting to finally have one of my own!!! i cant wait to open it and use it for the first time. as krytyna mentioned we got a new flat screen from my parents as an engagement present, but the greatest gift of all as that my father LOVED his new quilt that i made him and my mother LOVED her new scarf that i made her!!! what a wonderful and joyous day!!!!!
