Hi Linda, It was a pleasure to be your angel. Actually I was a sub angel. Your real angel was so stressed about the distance and the time it would take to send you a package that she asked me to if I would do it as I am so much closer to you.

I am so glad that you continued with the swap as it is so much fun. Thankfully all the dead wood is being sorted out by Lori. I think most of us in this swap have a reputation with our local mail men as being stalkers Hiding behind fences, hedges and doors waiting for our parcels to arrive. Not many hints for us internationals again this month, but I am quietly watching!

Hi Louise, It takes time to get it right, so stick in there gal. I had similar problems when the insulin I was using was discontinued this time last year. It took several weeks to get used to the new one, to which I am very sensitive. One useless medical person said I was probably not diabetic any more. When does type 1 recover???? I wish. There is still a lot of ignorance about diabetes in the medical profession too, sad to say. Lots of good wishes coming your way.

It is because I started on a medication called Byetta (for
diabetics). With this medication I give myself an injection
at dinner and than the hard part comes in trying to find a
    "good" portion (amount) of food I can eat. If I eat to much;
I get sick, if I eat to little; I get sick. I have only been back on
this medication since Saturday and I am still trying to find the
proper amount of food I can, thus meaning I go to bed with
    a killer headache and nausea.

My endocrinologist (Diabetes Dr) is HOPING that I will be
able to tolerate this medication at least until the beginning of
the year when it goes to a "weekly" dosage.

I went through all this hassle 5-1/2 years ago when not long
    |after I became diabetic.

So please know that IF you send me a pm I may not see it
    until the next day.

I had to laugh when I read about we Swap Partners appearing to be being stalkers to mail people!!!! Hiding behind fences and hedges waiting for parcels to arrive. Thanks for the morning giggle!

Oh Sweet Lori, I'm exhausted just reading your post! However, your comment about 'not having been so tired but never having felt so needed or so alive.' WOW, this is in my humble opinion what Christmas spirit should be. Selflessly giving to others and in the end, your efforts are indeed the gifts that keep on giving way past when the wrapping paper and ribbons are long forgotten. You my dear are an inspiration to me.

I am no angel for sure! Just doing what I can and having fun doing it. Marty doesn't think she has a cat but the neighbor's cat has "adopted" her, the owners don't let him inside and Marty does, she buys him food and puts out water and lets him sleep on her bed and sit on her lap. When he needs to go to the bathroom he goes to the door and goes outsidethen shows up later. She doesn't like him to go into the basement because to many hiding places when she wants to get him out of the house. So when we came back from the chemo treatment I went to the basement to fold laundry and Dorothy told Mart that the cat had gone to the basement and she just said he would come back up when he was ready. When Mart saw the cat was in the bedroom she went and closed and locked the basement door. Guess who was still in the basement! We had a good laugh and I told her if she was going to treat me THAT way i was going home and taking my sewing machines with me!
