a rak is what i like to think of as sending a surprise gift or card to someone when they are not expecting it. to me it is just letting someone know that you are thinking of them. i created another snow owl bride pincushion as a rak and maybe the recipient will post a pic of it. i am in the process of creating two other owl pincushions that are on my mind to do and they will probably be rak's also. one owl i'm thinking will be a "fashionable santa" and the other will be what i am calling a "victorian bride" owl (at least in my mind she looks victorian). previews coming soon.

Let's see, so many goodies, she also sent me a hearty supply of tear away stabilizer to use with my embroidery machine as well as the sweetest red handbag which is a sewing kit which I collect, and a coordinating pair of large red scissors which have red rose fabric decoupaged on the blades(stunning!). Additionally she shared a retractable tape measure which my husband has already borrowed. Sara also enclosed a lovely package of note cards and a matching pencil, a large bag of Spice Drops and a sweet green butterfly pop. And as many of you know, I love pincushions and Sara made me two which I will always treasure! They are both absolutely beautiful!!! I am just thrilled with everything Sara! Thank you so very much for the friendly note card and personal msg letting me get to know you.

    Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to pass this along..I had gone to USPS to check on my SP's package delivery and there was this warning on their page..Diana

    BEWARE OF SPAM!
    BOGUS DELIVERY MESSAGES E-MAILED TO
    POSTAL CUSTOMERS
Some postal customers are receiving bogus e-mails about a package delivery. The e-mails
contain a link that, when opened, installs a malicious virus that can steal personal information
    from your PC.
The e-mails claim to be from the U.S. Postal Service and contain fraudulent information about an
attempted or intercepted package delivery. You are instructed to click on a link to find out when
you can expect your delivery. But Postal Inspectors warn: Do not click on the link!
Like most viruses sent by e-mail, clicking on the link will activate a virus that can steal
information—such as your user name, password, and financial account information.
What to do? Simply delete the message without taking any further action. The Postal Inspection
Service is working hard to resolve the issue and shut down the malicious program.
If you have questions about a suspicious postal email or wish to report spam, contact the
Postal Inspection Service at [email protected].
