I think next month I'm not going to let y'all know the theme until partners assigned. That way y'all speed quilters won't be so far ahead of us who actually wait until the at least the first day of that month! Lol

I sew it and get it done as I have time Lisa. It helps when you know the theme and you can get it mostly done and my 2nd partner for this month I had free time on Sunday to sew, so that's what I did. I like getting them earlier if it's a theme that you can use for the month. My Valentine's I have had hanging since I got it to be able to enjoy it until it's over. I wouldn't like being able to use it for only 2 -3 days.
I understand someone that works full time and they have fewer hours than I do for sure but it also gives them more time to sew it and get it out to their partner to enjoy it for awhile longer.
Guess I really don't know if you're serious or not, lol.....don't understand why people with more time can't or shouldn't send when it's done. And I would think it would maybe help with people sending late

I like to know the theme ahead of time because it takes so long for shipping that my partners often receive my quilt at the end of the month.

I like knowing the theme because it gives me more time to think up ideas. Then, when I rendezvous with my partner, I modify my idea a bit to fit their colors and other preferences. But I don't start MAKING anything until I know.

I also like to know ahead of time because of my health I never know when my back is going to give out on me and liked to be sure I'm able to get it done while my health is good. Just like last Friday I had two teeth pulled I'm 60 years old and having issues with the gums healing been in pain for 4 days so far and don't feel like sewing. So I do hope you think about letting us know the theme ahead of time. Just my 2 cents.

Letsquilt - I was finally able to reply to your message. Sorry, been a hectic few days here as usual, but hey, high school basketball is finished as of Friday night, so I will have more free time (yay me!)

Also, I see everyone talking about the timing of the release of the themes for the month. I kind of like to know in advance too. It gives my brain some time to mull around ideas. Quick senders are either very quick or have a little more free time than me, but that's okay too. I love seeing the pics posted as people receive their quilts.

Well, here comes the first quilt picture... got this beautiful quilt from Jaba (Jan) today. I just love what she did. Really, really love the patriotic fabrics she chose to represent President's Day. I think I'm going to use this as a table topper for a while. Thank you so much, Jan!
