That donkey is adorable! I love drafting my own patterns and I tried drafting a PP once. Only once... shudder.
I fixed my old machine!! I love Loving Stitches quilt shop because the technician there is a miracle worker. It's purring along now and just in time.
So, I went through all the messages and the PM's I received for individuals joining our swap and we have 23 people who expressed an interest and here they are. If you are on the list for potential swappers, please pm me to confirm participation.

Wow, more participants than I realized! Hopefully many will confirm
I thought of doing the donkey paper pieced, but decided to go "conventional" piecing instead. I'm really surprised I only lost one little point. My piecing has definitely gotten better compared to even just a few months ago.
We ended up busy last night, so not much progress, but I hope tonight I can get all my pieces cut out for the rest of my blocks (it's a goal anyway).
And, thanks, everyone. I found a photo of a donkey with adorably long ears, and that really inspired the length of the ears on my block.

I love all the ideas and creativity going on here. I so wanted to join in, and had every intention, but unfortunately I have had to withdraw from this party. Life and unexpected commitments are keeping me rather busy. I've already PM Graceful Ann. I'll certainly keep watching from the fence though! Go girls!

Well, I'm still here...!
I have all my donkeys and cows cut out, just need to piece them together. I got all my sheep pieced tonight, I'll just have to trim them before sending them away... (these I drew up with graph paper)
