I was think the same, cuppy! I always like to have baby quilts on hand, so I might be lucky and get enough blocks to make two quilts out of this swap.

I was thinking the same. How about we do the animals like you intended and we can make structure blocks for ourselves and contact each others to do a side swap if so desired or give each other ideas. I definitely need more true farm animals.

I agree with just keeping it to animals. As far as colors, I was thinking colorful. We can "steer" away from traditional choices and keep to whimsical and fun! I love the pics I've seen on google of animals with glasses and hats. Kids definitely think this way. No one has to include that in their blocks but it would be fun. Wait til you see my first block! I'll post a pic soon.....

Will have to see if I have time. I used up all my blocks into a quilt with chickens.

Oh this is a cute idea. I may have to lurk to see if I will have time, but love the idea!

For me, though, the different sizes would be challenging to put together in a quilt, compared to the same size block. But for those experienced folks, I sure it is easier. Just not sure on my confidence level for that one.

    I need to ponder....and lurk....and then decide!

You guessed it! 6 1/2 X 6 1/2.... someone commented on a later post worrying about the odd sizes working together. I love the challenge of making it fit like a puzzle and having a layout that doesn't look cookie cutter.

4 6.5 blocks equal 12.5 you add fabrics to other blocks to make them 12.5. When Judith has block swaps , this is how she does them, really look great.

Still on the fence. Get it? Farm. Fence? Okay, I admit, I am the only one that finds my humor funny! LOL

What happens if I end up giving the same animal as everyone else? I think someone mentioned earlier about having all piggies?

So so torn....but this is SUCH a cute idea, I want it to succeed.......

I wouldn't worry too much about making the same animals as everyone else, Redstilettos. Make what you want and love! The more the merrier, and there is such a variety of patterns available, even if each of us got two piggies, for example, each would be different. I personally don't mind having a flock or herd or gaggle of anything! And I'm sure Graceful Ann will be amazing in swapping everything out evenly too. Please join us!

I'm hoping to finish my last set of blocks for the Summertime Swap this week so I can dive into the henhouse, lol!
