FABRIC RULES: (ooh, I sound so official...) From the conversations we have had as a group, I have come up with the following fabric guidelines.

*If appliquéing something that needs a background, and you found that "perfect fabric," use it. FOR EXAMPLE, A fish pond appliqued on a grass background for a more realistic feel. Creativity is GOOD!

    * However, if you are making something and you don't wish to provide a colored background, please just use a creme or off white color. (like a Muslin.)

    * When creating a pieced block, please use creme/off white rather than a "true" white.

    * When appliquéing OR making a pieced block (remember, both are welcome!!) please use "EARTH TONE" colors.

    Thank you!

I'm still thinking about my pattern...(cows) thats as far as I've gotten. But..I wondered......you guys with animals.....are you doing just the head or are you going to do the whole animal? I know I've seen blocks like for a whole dog...and also seen blocks with just the dog head......just wondering... :?:

DO you think I could allow my bears to go fishing in the pond, or would that scare the other animals too much? (I have this fabulous I SPY fabric left over of bears fishing on the lake.)

I'm doing the whole animal with both the horse and cat.

I haven't decided if the cat is going to be pieced or appliqued.
I won't make the cat 12.5 inches but maybe 6 inches with a scene around or maybe cat silhouettes like the stair way to heaven.
Still thinking about that one, lots of time left.
