If you will google "coloring book pages", you will find all kinds of simple stuff for applique :D

I've gotten all the pieces cut out for 6 of them and all the pieces drawn for the rest...so they are coming along!

Its the simple things that I don't know how to do...like how do I cut the background and the grass fabric in something other than a straight line and sew them together. If I cut a curve..like the cows are on a hill...it turns out weird and I can't sew it together...duh....yes...I'm an idiot...

You could do a straight line at an angle, so the cows are on a slope. No curves, but not just a flat landscape.
Its fairly hilly round here, so I'm used to seeing cows on slopes.

You could cut it in a curve and applique it on the other part.
Either use steam a seam on just the curve or fold under the edge.

I did do that with one of my doll swap quilts..it just seems like there is a way to actually do that that "real" seamstresses know...I don't...

But Martina...I would just have to make one set of their legs shorter than the other. Haven't you ever heard that is how cows are built for the hilly parts of the country???
