The blocks are due one month from today!
Start sewing faster everyone time is flying!
I've got my horses and cats done except for trimming the blocks.
I'm thinking I still want an orchard or at least one apple tree. I've got a block planned so I hope I can get it done.
I was also thinking of an outhouse block but I wouldn't want to offend anyone's sensibilities! A lot of farms still have one even if they have indoor plumbing.

    :-D

I had shoulder surgery too about 14 months ago and now I am back to sewing. The key for me is to raise my chair so that the height of my sewing table does not put that extra strain on my shoulder and I get better everyday. Wishes for quick healing-keep doing the therapy because it really does pay off down the road.

Of course we need an outhouse. We live in town - sort of and my grandsons love the tree at the side of my garage. Wish we had an outhouse when I'm in the garden and have to truck all the way back indoors. Heck, at my age, I don't even know I need to do 'til it is almost too late. Okay, all you Spring chickens, go ahead and laugh, after 10 kids you wouldn't be able to hold it all the time either. I'll take an outhouse even if you just draw the block and I make it.

I have a question. Since the blocks are 12.5" these are going to be really big chickens aren't they? Everyone is doing such a great job, I hope my chickens don't look too silly. But then, when don't chickens look silly? Perhaps lots of blue and sunflowers with them...I better think on this.

True! But at least you are on the farm and in the country. Old habits are hard to break, I guess. Yip! We need an outhouse in my quilt.

OK Gwyn -- here is your outhouse:

    http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/Product...log=Emblibrary

It has a bunch of stitches (over 58,000) and I think 23 color changes -- it would take me about 3 hours to do one.....
