i've finished the church, i will quilt the stones outlines onto it's front wall when i it quilt it all... i love it, and am very happy at how it turned out. the odd wonky railing here and there, but i can live with that!! lol...
i'm now working on the middle hills & cottages... i will hopefully complete them tomorrow.

i'm trying to get as much done now so i can work on the christening dresses when the pattern arrives...
Oh, Jacquie ...... your view is coming out fantastic! Just hope my view will come out as I have invisioned it. Sure will be glad, when I can get started on it.

Was looking ahead at the order in which I will be receiving the individual rows ..... believe I've got it figured out right .... and when I get your View Row to work on, the theme for the row will be your "Baskets w/ Fruits". So between now and then keeping the mind and eyes open for the cream and blue fabrics, along with the designing of the same. :)

Correction: I think I was mistaken ..... I believe when I get your "View", I will be making a row of "Stars" ???? -- Dayle

I guess some of you would like to see my row. Well, I'll post a picture soon, but here's a little teaser....
I used actual photos I've taken out my window.

I hope you still think so when you see it. My Dad really liked it ( I'm still spending a few days a week with him at his house ). Here it is the whole row and a couple of the blocks in close up.

Oh, Joan ...... What a very warm feeling I get from your Window View ..... absolutely love it! I hope what I have in mind for my "View" can hold up to the results of yours.

    Joan,
That is just AWESOME! What a wonderful idea. The whole row is marvelous. I'm glad you get to spend time with your dad and still work on your projects. Now I will have to put my thinking cap on and get down to work on planning the row I will do for your quilt.....Phhewwww, what a challenge.

Thank you for your kind words. I don't really get to work on things while I'm at Dad's, but he does enjoy seeing what I have done, so I try to take things to show him. He is so proud of the quilt I made him after my Mom passed, that he makes everyone go into his room to see it on the bed. He's a great Dad. I couldn't have gotten better parents if I had ordered them.
Sorry for my rambling. Thanks again for what you said.

I lost my dad when I was 18, it is the one regret I have in my life. He was my best friend. My life was changed immeasurably. I am so happy you have the time and talent to spend it with him.
