    Hi Jacquie -

I was beginning to think "everyone" fell off the end of the earth with our group ..... "Yes", It has been awfully quiet. However it just may be the "Lul before the storm", so to speak .... when we all get another row to work on. I believe I get Patti's row next from Betty and the mind is working on some ideas, so I'll be ready when it gets here. Good to hear from you.

Dayle, I was wanting to get Patti's rows to you today but will be in the mail to you tomorrow. I already have the next set. Haven't even looked at them yet. I think they are the Civil War ones from Ladybug. AND Jacquie, your draft for my rows looks wonderful.

    i enjoy applique, it's a little different...
i think you always need 'some' applique, whatever it is in quilts such as row/round robins... it makes them that bit different & special.

I just have to say, WOW I received your row Jacquie, with Joan's row added to it today. The pictures were wonderful but do not really do justice to the actual piece. It is just wonderful.....I am almost afraid to touch it....not sure what I will do just yet, but it is hanging very near me so it can tell me what it needs....wants....must have! I enjoyed reading your story, but best of all, congratulations on becoming a Granny. I have often told my son, "If I had known being a grandmother was so much fun, I would have skipped motherhood and gone straight to being a grandmother."

Please let me get caught up, then I will seriously consider it. I am finding that since I have been ill, I have no stamina. I use to be able to sew all day and half the night, now I have to go take a rest every hour or so. I am so much slower than I used to be.

Don't worry Betty .... best piority for you is to get well and back on your feet. Let's face it ..... "we" the Early Bird Threads are way ahead of the other groups .... as a matter of fact, the others are just lurking out there .... keeping an eye on what we're doing .... and of course we're giving them all kinds of ideas.
