ArizonaKAT, when I use the heat treated bat, I believe it is on both sides the sticky stuff. Be sure to watch for that. Otherwise, I always put it so the sticky side was to the backing so there were no tucks on the back and then placed the top on with about two inches on all four sides so if I had any lengthening issues, I would not go over. Hope that helps.

Thank you everyone for the compliments. I have to put the label on the runner for Terriann and then finish binding on the dbl wed ring with label. No worries partners, I am glad I am getting them done before the deadline so all I have to do is mail them out to you. Whew, feels good to have them find a home.

I must say, those bright runners look like so much fun to have in the house. But alas, in my house they would not go over real well with DH. He is not a brights person like me. I am positive that my runners are going to be so pretty.

Wow such beautiful table runners! Sorry I have been MIA, the quilt drive has taken on a life of its own, I am meeting some friends tomorrow for them to take some quilts to a family on her son's baseball team, and to another friend that is taking them to a family at her church. Next week I am hoping to team up with a girl and she is going to hand out crocheted lovies and I am going to hand out quilts to the kids. I am slowly working on my table runner, thankfully I have a completely understanding partner, AZKAT.

I'm laughing at the "completely understanding" part of your post. I'm so very grateful that "I" have the extra time to work on your table runner. If you read my previously post, I've changed my mind . . . and material several times already. This Saturday is it. GD is away for the day and I have the entire day to sew. I even took my featherweight out of the garage and set it up in the pantry (the only place I had space) so I could work in the air conditioning.

Stayed home from work today, too hard to read numbers on the computer. Finished piecing and quilting Qmomma's runner, need to sew on the binding and see if I can see to sew the binding down by hand. Hubby asked why I haven't made one for our table VBG.

Hurray, I mailed off MamaHausers Table Topper (square so not a runner) so she should have it by Saturday. Just as an aside, you all might check out my giveaway. It is halfway over but wanted to give you a heads up. :-)

    Default oh yeah

So many many runners getting worked on. I worry so much is everyone going to finish will there be sad people at the end of the swap??? I think there are about 18 who NEVER post. arg pirates I think pretty sure I asked everyone to post a little bit at least. not a huge request. With moving I worry about losing track here so help me remember ok? my short term memory is not what it used to be.

Sandy what a cute hankie! I collect the vintage ones with holiday motifs. Gosh I love those. hearts, shamrocks, oh oh Christmas.. would love to get enough together to make a monthly holiday quilt with them wouldnt that be way too cute? something about that time in the world where women were feminine, men were manly, family time was so the norm, people ate at the table together.. its romantic to me in a dorky way. I loved my holidays growing up My mom was a grumpy sort but she always had the house decorated for the seasons.. and the 50's stuff.. it stuck in my good thoughts bucket! lol..

I promise I am still alive. Haven't gotten on the board all week! DH and I ventered off to Kentucky Downs last night for an early anniversary date with the slot machines. We broke even. The machine I was on was a winner but it didn't start warming up until 10 minutes before close. If we had more time I know it would have hit jackpot. Oh, well!

I am on a 4 day weekend from work. We thought we were going to be able to slip off for the weekend, but DH's work just wouldn't allow it. They are hosting Bonaroo starting this weekend through next week and he is on call. I have planned to work in the sewing corner, do some spring cleaning, lounging on the patio. Hope it doesn't rain.

Krystyna, I can't wait to get that beautiful table runner on my kitchen table. It is beautiful!! I am still quilting yours. Hope to be finished by the first of next week.

I am happy to hear your doing well ladies! wow I know you would have won if you had a bit more time on that machine (wink wink)..

I love Krystyna's pattern totally different than any I have seen so far.

question of the week: Do we do a wall hanging WELCOME sign or another runner swap or a partners choice of the two swap? I am thinking the last one is a nice option in case someone has so many runners they want a welcome sign or vice versa.. what say you?

Glad to hear from you! I was almost ready to interpret your silence and horror! What's a Bonoroo?
