Lucky to be Brat's partner! But boy, did she make it hard to choose! I like them all, but like the snowman with greens and browns the best.

Those are some very pretty fabrics, Brat...IF I was your partner, I like grouping one, with the Redbird, or last grouping. I collect Santas & Snowmen. Love winter time...

    Okay,
Jaba, as Cheesehead chose #4, #1 is perfect for me! Brat, all of yours are great, so whatever is left, send it on!! I think snowmen say Winter...can be decorated to say Christmas, too..

I know I appear greedy, wanting in on all these fabric combo runners...really it's just I have no willpower..plus I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by NOT commenting I would love that runner, send it to me! Yep, that's what it is..it's not selfish greed..it's selflessness...honest!

Thanks to some advice and hand-holding from Kiffie and Brat, I finally managed to post this photo of my practice table runner. It came out 73 miles long -- OK, I'm exaggerating, but it did end up bigger than I expected. But it's pretty!

whats wrong with 73 miles long? I mean it might be an inch or two too long but surely 80 would have been over the top you know? your lines are so perfect! are you sure your new to this stuff likethedog? I am wondering.. think she hoodwinked us ladies.. trickter in the group..

ok kiffie I too suffer from that same affliction. wantstering its called. you want this you want that.. yup it must run in the group. we see fabric and well.. your right! its just because you don't want someones feelings hurt that you wish they would send it all to you. Your so amazingly kind. wow.

It made me really smile to see all the nods to the old jewelry. I think now when I look at the new sparkles out there they can't hold a candle to the real ones from yesteryear. Well its the middle of the night got up for water and think maybe I can pop off back to sleep for a bit. Maybe.. one never knows. gotta get a good nights rest as I have to sew today. I have runners to make!!!

My nephew's bride made her wedding bouquet from old glittery brooches she accumulated over the last year (wedding was October 5). It was gorgeous! Trying to get my sister-in-law to email me a picture so I can share.

Oksewnsew, I think I am on target with your runner...incorporates one of your favorites! Did have a "disaster" yesterday while working on it. Got a block partially finished and ironed on my new ironing board cover, only to have the fabric from the cover transfer its print onto three of the small pieces in the block. So I spent quality time with my seam ripper and all is now well! (The ironing board cover was cheap but it's expensive now...so I am on the lookout for another!)

I have never seen a patterned ironing board cover! and I have used them all my life. mine are that wonderous silver? then because I use starch and fusible evry little string that is loose sticks and well its a rainbow effect now.. luckily they do not transfer color argh that would have made me want to throw it all away! put a sheet of fabric over it for now til you get a new one. that is frustrating!!!

its a beautiful 6:50 the sun is not rally up yet but think it will be gorgeous, no snow flurries today! 32 even!!! tank top weather I think! by 9 that front door is open wide and the windows too.. fresh air, nothing like it I wish we had trick or treaters but we live on this country road with only five homes, one for sale and empty and all.. grown ups no kids to be sure. MY neighbors are big Halloween fans so maybe I can give them a trick or treat I have my entire house decorated for it. so colorful I love it!!!

OK I want to see a bouquet made out of vintage broaches.. oh how pretty that would be! oh no hope she didn't throw that one and had an alternate one for tossing! yowsa that would be a bouquet that was out of the world expensive!

OK...here are two pix of the brooch bouquet, one to show detail and the other to show how it is held. My sister-in-law is watching the house during the honeymoon and snapped these this morning!

On the ironing board cover, there was this cool one with zebra stripes to replace my old silver thing of 30 years...COOL! I thought. Until I got block shadow stripes on something I ironed
