That is good news that Jan has some good news to share with us. I too, will be happy when she is out of pain. She has to be one tough cookie to endure it. Sending her good thoughts.

DustysMomma - I'm almost done with your runner! Just have to finish the binding. So excited with the way it's turned out. One side is hearts and the other is for year round use. Designing as I go seems to be what is the most fun with these swaps!

Won't say the designs are "original" just that I don't bother with a pattern and see how it ends up. Lol!

ok some of the simpliest runners are also the prettiest too am I the only one here? I feel like I chat with myself some days here.. where is everyone????

its brisk, was foggy this morning a dusting of snow on the mountains..and I think the sun will come out.. a warm 40 or so!!! I don't mind that at all.. open the front door let some fresh air in for a bit oh yeah! I found a couple supe1r cute candy cane runner patterns nope I didn't make them up but might borrow the pattern.. oops things like that happen.

Are any of you on pinterest? do you find things that you can make oh .. have a folder of stuff that you would be 198 yrs old before you finished all of them. I find some of the most beautiful things.. one day things.. I have learned to slow down on liking them.. its too easy to like them all

Well hopefully everyone is working on their runners. ;o) Mine is ready to be quilted, probably work on that today. It's supposed to rain, they said 100% but so far, it's just humid! They've missed the forecast all week!! OH YES, Pinterest!! Mercy, will not live long enough to try all things! I have actually used some of the ideas tho, recipes, patterns - it's a neat site.

    Have a good sew day.

Just finished hand sewing the binding down on the topper I made for Jaba. Asked DH what he thought of it, he kinda shrugged his shoulders and didn't say anything, now I am worried. So now I am second guessing myself, but the good news is, I have several weeks to make something different and still get it out on time.

Don't you even think of it Miss cheesehead, you just send that little topper on it's way. I'm sure I will love it and your hubby does not have to approve!!!!
Was exhausted when I got home last night, went to bed at 7 and didn't get up until almost 7 this morning. That's a record for me. Good news is no surgery right now. Have to take medication, enough to choke a horse, doc says no pushing, pulling, lifting or bending for the next 6-8 weeks. Gees, asked him if I could get dressed and he said very carefully. Told me to stay on chair or bed rest, okay sewing chair will work. Set up physical therapy this morning, 4 times a week for 6 weeks, great....can hardly wait. I go back to see him Dec. 10th and then he will evaluate more. Interviewed a cleaning lady today, don't know for sure on this one but will give her a try. Hopefully at least my house will be dusted and vacuumed and the bathrooms clean, if not I'll be a raging bull and going nuts. So far the medication is making me feel a little oozy and light headed and very tired. Hope it gets better as my system gets use to it. What ever it does, I just want it to do the job and get rid of this ache and pain, so praying his plan of attack will work. Thanks all of you for all your good thoughts, it is much appreciated. Thank heavens most of the sewing is done for the swaps, just have a round robin to work on. I have this feeling it may be in small spurts of energy, we will see.

Jaba- glad you made it home safely and that the doctor has an alternate plan.

Been watching all the pretties pop up on here while trying to get caught up on the grand kids quilts, son's quilt and on and on and on....

Brat- it is ok to talk to yourself- Me Myself and I have the most pleasant conversations everyday.

Jaba, so glad to hear you won't be needing surgery, hope the treatment the Dr's have decided for you will do the trick.
