I did notice this sends everybodys email to a lot of people
E-mail notices are not sent for automatically-generated PMs, but only for regular PMs composed by other members individually.

So neither mass PM nor activity updates should generate actual e-mail messages. A PM is added to your inbox on the board, but no e-mail gets sent out.

If you are seeing e-mail notices for group activity updates, then please PM me the details and I'll look into it.

I think it goes to the whole group.
Nope. It only creates a PM for the person whose comments your are updating. But if you update a lot of comments one after another, then multiple people would receive PMs about it. Each one regarding their respective comments being updated.

I'm not sure how this feature is working out in practice. But if it makes things more convenient, I can uncheck the notification box by default.

I was thinking it only went to the person whose info you changed....and then you can uncheck the box if you want to. I'd say leave it Admin.

This came in in perfect time. I am starting my first swap and this will give me the perfect way to keep up with things. I like the options where stuff is either private, public, or seen by me and the member. That way I can store member addresses there if I need to and not worry about it. Now all I have to do is figure out how to access it on a regular basis without bothering people.

ReRe....you can go onto the list anytime you want and edit info. If you don't want to bother anyone....just uncheck the "notify" box near the edit button. Then your list will be updated, but no one will get a message saying so, they will just see it when they go look at the list.
