It's Christmas week and my sewing area is closed until after the New Year. It's not our year for the kids to be with us for Christmas and it makes me kind of sad, but next year will bring them all home and with a new grandson so it will be worth the wait.
I wish all of you the happiest holiday season and a new year filled with health, happiness and joy and, of course, more fabric, patterns and fun than ever.

I had planned to finish up my last 2 gift quilts today - binding on one, pick up the 2nd from my mom (my longarmer! ) & put binding on that one. Then clean up the sewing room & put it to rest for the party we're having tomorrow night & the rest of the holiday week.
However, you know what they say about the best laid plans - in the middle of 6 dozen cookies late last night I get a phone call. Seems a daycare center used by a family in our church lost their heat; so I have a 1 & 3 yr old today! Yea!! So far I have checked email, washed, dried & put away one load of clothes & emptied the dishwasher! I had a list as long as my arm for today - all for the party tomorrow (30+ of our praise team & their children) I guess what gets done, gets done & what doesn't - doesn't! lol Just PLEASE everyone pray for heat at the daycare center tomorrow!! :!: :!:
In case I don't get back here later, Merry Christmas to all of you! And a happy, healthy New Year filled with love & fabric!

CJoyce I sent you Montanablu's center to you. I know I'm early but I had to send it when I had the money and I have been trying to clean up and remember what I need to send out so I don't forget to. My sister and I just put my mom into a nursing home this week and I guess I just really needed to do something???? If you know what I mean? :) Not trying to hurry you or anything.

Just finished Joyce's center & hope to get it in the mail today. Getting ready for a familyChristmas here on Sun - after having son's family here tonight - but I'm fairly certain I'll need to go out for something or other!
I really enjoyed doing this round. I knew as soon as I saw it what I wanted to do - I felt it was ready to bring out some of the blue from the original center. The first pic shows the blue brighter than it really is - the 2nd is much closer to what it really is. And it does lie perfectly flat - except on my living room carpet! lol Not the ideal place for quilt photography but the best I can do at the moment. Joyce, I SO hope you like it!
