I'm still here...sent mine out to be quilted today. I'm not confident enough yet to do anything that is important and this top is IMPORTANT. I'll remember this experience every time I look at the finished quilt and also each of you so I want it quilted by someone who really knows what they're doing. Hope everyone's summer is going well and you're enjoying the warm weather. Looking forward to seeing all the other tops as they are finished.

If any of you remember the fabric I was looking for a month or so ago - to finish a graduation quilt, I ended up using the one that was very close. I had people looking literally from coast to coast. The pattern just didn't seem to work any other way. It is called Chinese Puzzle & there are 2 different blocks for the layout I did. Unfortunately I didn't catch that when I started (duh!) so when I ran out & had 1/2 the blocks done...I needed more background that I had thought. So the 'B' block uses the 2nd background. In the pic you can see the shading - I'm happy the way it turned out & the recipient was thrilled! She cried when she opened it & again the next time I saw her. She loves orange.
If any of you had been looking I really do appreciate it. Evidently all the fabric out there had already been used up! I sure hope this dilemma never!! happens again! :!:
