Default Fabric Postcard Swaps 2017 - Sneak Peek!

Well Hello! Let me formally introduce myself. I love to bake hence my name CookieZenmilk and I am from Massachusetts. I have many years experience hosting postcard swaps on the HGTV and CafeMom sites. While I have hosted the usual holiday and four season swap themes, a favorite theme has been Wacky Holidays, so I am bringing Wacky Back!

Each month I will post a list of wacky holidays and you will design a postcard around that day and mail to your partner in time to celebrate!

My swaps are open to all levels of sewing. For my tutorial on how to make a fabric postcard, please refer to the Tutorial section on this board. Step-by-step instructions with pictures. Just like Judith said, "It's just a tiny project and the reward is a lovely Postcard" from a friend you haven't met yet.

I encourage you to share pictures of the postcards you receive. Sign-ups for January 2017 will begin middle of December. We will be making one postcard. I will pair you with a partner.

Bet you didn't know Toasted Marshmallow Day is August 30th! or National Beheading Day is September 2!

Just when you think the world couldn't get any wackier ---- here we go! Sounds great fun, Cookie, thanks for picking up the baton. Judith's shoes are hard to fill, dainty as they are....

    K-Roll

I was in a group with CookieZenmilk many years ago. Lets just
say that the wacky holidays were a BLAST to design around. One
of my favorite wacky holidays was "Left Handed Day" because I
    AM left handed.

There were LOTS of fun ideas. Don't let the name fool you. Only
    your imagination is the limit.
