Wow! I love looking at everyone's work so far! I'm in the process of finishing my blocks, too!

I have to take a minute to stress the importance of the blocks measuring 12.5 inches. We are having some problems (in the B&Y) with blocks measuring short. In some cases a great deal short.

Once, again just a reminder. 12.5 inches is a must.

    Today I received blocks from:

    1. Jim's Gem
    2. Moosegirl

    That makes 13 sets received.

Ok colletta. Thanks for the reminder.
I ran out of one of the fabrics and have to drive to another city to see if they have it. Mine are half done.

Maybe now's a good time to mention that if they're only slightly out they can be "blocked" to bring them up to size. It works well, and means all that work wasn't for nothing.

    :-)

Can someone explain how to "block" a square?

There are a couple of ways. What I do is use a spray bottle and spray the block till it's quite damp, both sides, then pin it to a cork board that I've marked out the 12.5" square on. Pin along one edge first, with lots of pins along the width so there's no curves, then the opposite side, then the last two sides. Then either leave to dry, or iron till it's dry.
