Colletta, my blocks went in the mail today! I hope that they reach you safely. If they are not acceptable please let me know.

Along with stressing the 12.5" blocks I also need to stress the importance of using 100% cotton fabric only.

Please check your fabrics for content before buying or using them for the swap. We need consistency in content so they can be used nicely together in quilt projects.

I am just about half done with my blocks. I'll be done by weekend, and will send them on Monday, Hopefully!! I'll post a picture over the weeend, too. This has been fun, and I can't wait to see the blocks I get in return.

    Question about blocking...
If you need to block a quilt block won't it just shrink back to it's dimensions when it is used in a quilt and shrink up and wrinkle?
    Just wondering????

    The question is:
If you need to block a quilt block won't it just shrink back to it's dimensions when it is used in a quilt and shrink up and wrinkle?

No, it won't shrink back to the original shape because it will be stabilized. There will be blocks sewn to all four sides...or blocks sewn to three sides and a border on the fourth side. Remember the suggestion to block stated - a little bit short. If the block measures 12-inches or 12-1/8 inches, blocking won't help.

My blocks went out yesterday. Guy at PO said Colletta should have them by Saturday or Monday at the latest -- yeah, right

Thx - after not quilting for a while, I was a bit nervous. They came together nicely. Can't wait to see what blocks I get back for my quilt - they are all so beautiful!
