thank you crickets and granma,
whatever i did, i did it 12 times. they all look the same.
I was stitching on myfeatherweight(I don't normally sew on this machine) and I think I had the wrong foot on it and i wasn't at home and couldn't change the foot. So, I don't think I got my seams an even 1/4".
Do you think that could have done it?

I just measured the black and white blocks and the blue and yellow blocks that I received.
One of the black and white blocks measured 11.75 x 11.75 inches. One was 12.5 x 12.75 - tolerable - the other 22 were okay.
Of the blue and yellow ones, one was 12.25 and several were 12.75 inches. (of 12) At least all of them were in the neighborhood.
Please check to make sure that your blocks are the proper size before sending them in. Measure them!
In my opinion, 12.375 to 12.625 is an acceptable range (plus or minus 1/8 inch. (12-3/8 inches to 12-5/8 inches)
It's a lot easier to make something with them if all the blocks are the same size.

You are right, but I hate to discourage people who are off by just a bit, if you can sew, you can usually fudge a little and make things fit. If they are terribly off, you can always set them using the twist and turn setting.

I haven't had a chance the past couple days to list the blocks I've received so here they are:
1. csh
2. Justme
3. jljack
4. daisyboo
5. saravincent (2)
That makes 24 sets received!

I also ran into some problems with three blocks and am dealing with it.
I enjoy swapping to meet the other board members and hope that everyone else feels the same.
