armylady I love the swirling leaf pattern. I plan to start my fall blocks in a day or two. Time to cut sashing strips and borders for my summer quilt top.

I just finished my Acorn Blocks. Now, all that is left to do is to trim them up and get a photograph of them. They are just the cutest darn things. I cut out tooo many of them. So, I made a few extras. No sense letting them go to waste. I will post a photo of them tomorrow.

Alrighty, I have my next block already to go. This little acorn was a blast to make and, so addicting!! Hard to believe, it is only a 6 1/2" block.

That is a darling acorn, Judith! I really hope I get one if not, I need to make one for my quilt!

I finished ripping out all that quilting , so I'm back to quilting my En Pronence MQ, but I'm thinking of setting up my spare machine so I can piece so fall swap blocks too. My mind is swimming with ideas!

Somehow NZquilter, I think that can be arraigned. I made 11 of these blocks. I told you they were addicting. Plus, I way over cut. So, I figured, I'd just make up the extra blocks. (I'm keeping 2 for my quilt.) I figured, what I don't trade out, I will share out.

Judith, is there a way to make a gallery of all the Fall Swap Blocks? That way we can all "ooh and ahh" over them with out going through each page. And we can see what has been made already. Just an idea.... I personally have no idea how to though.

NZquilter that is a great idea! Judith1005 I love your acorn. Everyone is taking all my ideas!! First my squirrel, then the maple leaf (my favorite leaf), and now my acorn pattern. Oh well, guess I'll put my noggin' to thinking about a new direction. Of course, I'll still be making them for my quilt so I may as well do a few more!!! I love this site!

That little acorn is so cute Judith.

I have my next couple of blocks decided but no time to sew for the next few days.

GracefulAnn, please still make your original ideas for blocks! I too find a lot being taken, but I think the more the merrier! Lori Holt's books seem to have a lot of fun ideas that can be Fall themed too. I don't own her books, but I have been trying to graph some out on paper.

I agree with NZquilter. Please, make the blocks you want to make. I doubt we'll all pick the same ones or the same fabric.

I would love to find some sort of other pattern involving a Sunflower. Red's is gorgeous. But, that is only 4 blocks to swap out. So, I will continue to look until I find a pattern I like.

I also have 2 other pieced blocks that I'm planning to make. And, they will be 12 1/2" sq. I wish I could find some Fall leaves fabric locally. But, it is the wrong time of year for that. So, will concentrate on using what I have. It is fun to see what I can make work.

I got so addicted to the summertime swap blocks that it is hard for me to move into Fall. I am still working on an old (2011, I think) summertime block swap top that I am re-working to make it bigger. I just wasn't quilt ready to let go of summer. lol
