I'm back at the sewing desk, yay! On Saturday I was trimming the bushes and got a stick in my eye. It got pretty painful so I went to the ER on Sunday. They said it was badly scratched, but no damage. I could barely see or focus on anything, so no sewing these past few days. Today it's much better, so I'm back in the sewing seat.

Yes, NZquilter I'm so glad to hear that there won't be any permanent damage. Scary.

Judith, are you planning another swap after this one? Just wondering, since the boom swaps are starting up again.

Oh dear! I am glad your eye will be alright. That would be terrible to lose sight!

I also am a gardener and love to be out there, so I know how quickly you can hurt yourself. I am dreading trimming the weeping cherry and the bushes in the front. I use long bypass trimmers and I have this tendon problem to think about. I can't get on my knees anymore to do it, so hubby bought me these. (Too hard to get up) I suppose I will do it in stages so I don't hurt myself again like last year.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! My eye is pretty much like new again today, so the antibiotic drops they gave me really work. Lesson learnt: wear safety glasses from now on! My DH always does while doing outdoor work, but for some reason I never thought about it.
