Wow! You are all making such cute blocks! I wish I could have joined in time. I haven't been sewing much since Christmas because of having trigger thumb and foot problems. But I got injections several weeks ago for them and I am doing better now. My hand still hurts, but I can sew a little while each day.

I'm going to make one extra block & just send my 2 sets. I'm not making any progress on a third set so far, and don't want to miss the deadline.

I forgot that I have a guild 'challenge' project due in 2 weeks...I'm doing a wall-hanging with the challenge fabric which is ugly though think I've found a way to make it beautiful. Unless I'm fooling myself again.

Thanks everyone for bucking me up about my village block. Sometimes I do things a little too 'shortcutty' & it doesn't work. Judith, your comments about measuring accurately hit the nail on the head.

Your blocks are all fantastic, inspiring, and light up my quilting path.

NZquilter the sunflower wasn't hard as all four side sections were the same but multiplied by 5 (one for me) it was just a bit repetitious. At the moment I am still working on my 365 Challenge which is mainly 6" and 3" blocks with lots more pieces in each block so I am in that smaller "zone" at present.

K-Roll I read somewhere that if a fabric looks ugly you just haven't cut it small enough - I think that's a good philosophy, so there's no wasted fabric here.

Deecee oooh I love your sunflower! I'd love to have this one show up on my doorstep. Is there a pattern you used or did you make it up?

I'm getting close to done with my blocks. Just a bit more sewing.

Hi ladies! I had less mending than I thought. I just finished a set of oak leaves for my fall quilt. I've wanted to make an oak leaf quiltsince I was 20. Maybe I can finally do it! Here is the pic. Oak leaf pattern is compliments of mother nature.
